The short answer
A Product Sprint from $5,000 answers two questions before anyone commits to a build: what exactly should the first version do, and what will it cost. You leave with three things:
- A written spec, with a record of each decision behind it.
- A clickable prototype, or a technical spike when the open question is whether something can be built.
- A phased plan with a fixed price for each milestone.
It's paid up front, at a fixed price. If you start a Build with us within 60 days, the whole Sprint price is credited to it.
Who it's for
It fits when there's an idea and a budget, but not yet a plan anyone can price with confidence:
- Founders with a first product to build and a launch or an investor meeting to plan for.
- Companies replacing a spreadsheet or a manual process with software.
- Teams holding quotes far apart from each other, with no way to tell which one is right.
- Anyone who wants an AI feature but isn't sure it will work with their data.
If you already have a clear spec, you can skip it and ask for a proposal for the build.
What you get
A written spec
What we're building and why: the goal, the users, the scope, the risks and the decisions behind them. You read it and approve it. It's the document the build works from, and the AI agents that write most of our code work from it too.
Decision records
One short file per architectural decision: the options and why we chose one. When someone asks in a year why it works this way, the answer is written down.
A prototype or a technical spike
A clickable prototype when the open question is what users see and do. A technical spike when it's whether something can be built: an integration with an old system, an AI feature on your real data, a payment flow.
A phased plan with a price
The first version split into milestones, each with its scope, its acceptance criteria and a fixed price, so a proposal for the build can be read, and compared, line by line.
How it runs
- 01A kickoff call: what you want to build, for whom, and what success looks like.
- 02We read what already exists: your notes, designs, spreadsheets and the systems it has to talk to.
- 03We write the spec, and you comment on it until it says what you mean.
- 04We build the prototype or the spike.
- 05We price the plan, milestone by milestone, and walk you through it.
Everything it produces is yours to keep, whoever builds the product.
Price, payment and refunds
- Price: from $5,000, fixed before it starts.
- Payment: up front.
- Refunds: cancel before the kickoff and we refund the full price. Once it has started, the price isn't refundable, and you keep everything produced up to that point. The details are in our refund policy.
- Credit: the whole Sprint price counts toward a Build that starts within 60 days.
What happens after
You have three options, and the plan is useful in all of them:
- Build it with us. A Build starts from $12,000, with a deposit of 30% credited against the milestones. Each milestone is invoiced when we deliver it, and you review it against its criteria first.
- Build it with another team. The spec and the plan are yours, and they make any quote easier to compare.
- Wait. Sometimes the Sprint shows the idea needs more validation before a build. That's a cheaper lesson than a half-built product.
What moves the price of the build itself is in MVP development cost.
Why we start with a spec
AI agents write most of our code. They're fast, and they work from what's written down, so the spec shapes the build. An engineer reviews every change against it, and you approved it before any code existed.
A change is cheapest while it's still a sentence in a document.
If that sounds like where you are, send us a brief. A person reads it and replies with questions or a first plan.
